Our Mission
TAMOJA Foundation prevents gender-based and intimate partner violence by building safe, empowered communities through culturally rooted awareness, trauma-informed education, and leadership development.
Founded by survivor and public health researcher Monica Guerrero Vazquez, TAMOJA fills a critical gap in prevention programming for Latine, immigrant, and historically underserved communities in Maryland.

Featured Program - Leadership Academy
The Leadership Academy is an 18-month immersive, multigenerational program where youth and adults:
- Learn healthy relationship skills
- Build leadership capacity
- Receive mentorship
- Access supportive referrals
- Co-create culturally responsive prevention materials
- Become advocates in their own communities
$1500 sponsors one participant for the entire Academy.
That sponsorship includes:
- 18 monthly leadership trainings
- Educational webinars
- Mentorship
- Community-building activities
- Referrals to supportive services
